We Love Fall
Here it is: the sun is finally loosening its grip on our days. Not that we don’t love the sun. It’s just that right now, we’re really in the mood for sweater weather again! Crispy falling leaves, brisk winds whisking them from yard to yard, friday nights bundled up in the bleachers watching football…. We love fall!
Chilly Weather Clothes
And now, for that closet. Pulling out chilly weather clothes and sifting through the bins is like a reunion with fast friends. One part strategy, one part reminiscence - it’s amazing how many memories are woven into each garment. It looks like some of these are going to need refreshing. Hmmm, and it looks like a few spots got overlooked. Time to review some basic sweater cleaning strategies. It can be pretty confusing to know whether or not to dry clean.
- READ THE LABEL - First things first: what does the label say? If dry cleaning is recommended, then that’s the way to go for best results and to protect the integrity and life of the sweater.
- OVERLOOKED STAINS? - If your sweater was inadvertently stored with undetected soiling, your best move is to leave the treatment to the pros in order to avoid ruining the color or fabric of the sweater.
- SWEATER WEIGHT – Heavier-weight sweaters are challenging to wash and dry without destroying their shape. It’s always a good idea to leave these to the drycleaners too.
