Protect Your Fancy Party Dress
- Prepare carefully. Makeup, perfume, colognes, anti-perspirants and deodorants, and skin care all contain ingredients that can be very damaging for your garment. When possible, apply prior to dressing.
- Blotting a new stain is typically a good idea, however, remember to be cautious. It is possible to further spread the stain, or worse, damage the weave or the fibers of the garment.
- Never iron over any stain, as heat tends to cause a stain to become set-in.
- For best stain removal results, always bring your stained garments in for dry cleaning as soon as possible. And be sure to discuss the source of every stain with your dry cleaner.
